Ingredients
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup ruby port
3 oranges, zested and juiced |
2 shallots, minced
1 Tablespoon cider vinegar
1/2 pounds Mariani Dried Cranberries (1 1/3 Cups) |
Directions
In a nonreactive saucepan, place sugar, water, port, orange juice and shallots over medium heat. Simmer uncovered for 9 minutes, then add vinegar, orange zest and Mariani Dried Cranberries. Simmer an additional 7 minutes, stirring constantly. Refrigerate at least 4 hours before serving. Excellent with lamb, pork and poultry. Makes 2 1/3 cups.
