1/2 cup Mariani Pitted Dried Plums
1/4 cup water (or prune juice)
1 1/2 cups strawberries, chopped
1 very ripe banana, sliced
2 tablespoon chocolate syrup
1 cup milk
3/4 cup Strawberry yogurt
Place dried plums in a bowl and cover with water (or prune juice). Let stand for 15 minutes or until soft. Remove pits. Place dried plums and liquid in blender. Process until pureed. Add remaining ingredients and process until smooth.
Serve chilled. Extra portions can be refrigerated or frozen. Prepare shake the night before for a quick grab-and-go breakfast.
Yields 2 servings.
For a smoother texture, use ¾ cup silken tofu with 2 tablespoons strawberry preserves in place of the strawberry yogurt. Soy milk or rice milk can also be used in place of the regular milk.
