Mariani Packing Company located in Vacaville, CA is the largest independent dried fruit processor and packer in the United States handling 100MM pounds of fruit annually. We have an immediate opening for a Maintenance Mechanic.  Under the direction of the maintenance manager or maintenance lead, does building, installation, maintenance and overhauling of all process equipment.

• 2-5 years Food Manufacturing experience.
• Bilingual a plus   

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES listed, but are not limited to the following:

• Read sketches, prints, operating instructions and proceed accordingly.       
• Check materials and parts and makes requests for same.    
• Lay out work from sketches, drawings, etc.    
• Cut and form parts and assemble parts to construct machinery and equipment.     
• Locate, line up and anchor machinery.           
• Test and time machinery.        
• Is able to repair, adjust, trouble-shoot, and time prune pitters.           
• Is able to repair, adjust, trouble-shoot, and time weigh scales, metal detectors, and case printers.             
• Weld, including heli-arc and stainless steel.
• Analyses and makes necessary repairs of fluid power systems.
• Lay out and install process piping systems.
• Understand food processing equipment computer control systems.
• Provides his own appropriate hand tools and meters as required.
• Performs and schedules preventive maintenance in a timely manor.
• Maintains records.
• Must be able to safely operate a fork lift truck.
• Performs other work as may be assigned by management.
